about

This is a b-side from the Map of Lost Keys album. Love this track but it didn't quite fit. Lyrically it actually made more sense for The 16 Deaths of My Master but that bed was already too full.

The sample at the end is from a tape I found in an abandoned trailer park out in the woods of Black Star Canyon of Southern California around 2012. It was a long, rambling sermon about Satan's influence on youth culture. Maybe he was right after all?

First time playing the MX-202 synth.

lyrics

I wonder if there's a word
In some strange foreign language
To express this dreadful feeling
I can't be the only one
What's French for panic?
What's Latin for horror?
Fear drives the wretched to prayer.
Terror ubique
A child stalked through endless halways
The barking noises coming from
His parents master bedroom
Who left him alone
I got the shakes but this time it isn't from the drugs
Somethings released within me
Please God, pull the plug
